eva's new accomplishments

I've decided to blog about Eva's milestones since I can't seem to keep a journal. She has started walking, I mean really walking, and it is so exciting. I really wanted to write about how she likes to puts buckets or baskets over her head and then crawl around. She sometimes crawls into walls and furniture!! Yesterday she put a basket on her head and then tried to crawl face first down the stairs, so she obviously fell and scared the crap out of me!! Today she discovered the toilet!! We are up at my inlaws and we thought we had the doors closed, and then my brother in law heard a splashing sound. We went into the bathroom and she was up to her elbows in toilet water!! Needless to say, she got scrubbed down. Anyway, maybe this is a way for me to mark significant events!!

Uncle Terence and Grandma Shauna came over for a suprise visit the other day and we enjoyed them so much!! Terence plays in a percussion ensemble at school, and you can tell he is teaching Eva to play the drums! Eva also loves grabbing at Shauna's necklaces, and in the other picture she is playing peek-a-boo with a dish towel.

We recently discovered a little park close to our apartment and I took Eva there. She loved it!! I put her in the swing, thinking she may not be ok with it, but she just wanted to keep going!!

Eva was up way too late, being very sad, and the only thing that made her happy was to sit on the counter and help me put away the groceries!

Eva got a giant pink bunny from her Great Grandparents on Tyler's side and she loves it!! She attacks it and rolls all over the floor with it.

Here's the progression of the birthday cake. All in all it was a great party and it was so nice to have all of my dad's family and Tyler's immediate family there. Eva received very generous gifts and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

My parents came up for Eva's first birthday party and mom made her this adorable bear.

A few days ago we had a really hard night with Eva, who was teething. I took these pictures of her and her dad. The resemblance is uncanny, especially since they were both exhausted.

Eva can climb the stairs all by herself and is very proud of it. I stay a few steps behind her because she hasn't quite figured out how to get back down.

Eva and I took a walk in the new stoller that Grandma Kay got for her and just looked so cute that I had to take a picture.

Eva loves playing peekaboo over the baby gate. In the other picture she is with her friend Katy Smith, the daughter of our good friends. They played really well together dispite the age difference.

Eva loves trying to wear my sunglasses. In the other picture she is holding a dolly baby that my mom sent to her She's not quite sure what to do with it just yet.

Here are a few new pictures. We went to Tyler's parents the day after Valentines Day and Eva had a lot of fun playing with Uncle Terence's guitar balloon. We also made sure to take pictures of her with the beautiful roses that Grandpa Kelly gave Grandma Shauna. It was a really nice visit. As you can see from the pictures, Eva and her Uncle Terence are good friends.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Eva got her 5th tooth this week and it is VERY exciting. She changes everyday. She is really close to walking and I'm not sure how to feel about that. She turns one on March 18th so I guess it's time. She walks aroung holding onto the furniture and pulls all of the books and DVDs off of their shelves. She's also started throwing "tantrums" when she gets pulled away from something she's not supposed to be doing, so we'll see how that goes. What a kid!! We love her so so much and thank Heavenly Father everyday that she is ours.

Our Family

Tyler and I have been married since August 2005. We are living in Utah while Tyler goes to school at BYU. We are blessed to have his family living close. My parents are still in Colorado, while Sariah is in Oregon and Forrest is in Ft. Collins Colorado. In March of 2008 we wer blessed to welcome Eva Camille into our little family. She is amazing and keeps us very busy.
